The History of It’s a Small World
Over the summer–when my workload is lighter–I’ve worked to put up two more lengthy series on the DHI Podcast. The first of these series focuses on Walt Disney’s efforts to populate the New York World’s Fair with Disneyland-style pavilions and attractions. For the series I was able to use some audio interviews with WED designers–interviews that I recorded years ago. Among them are Rolly Crump, Harriet Burns, Blaine Gibson, and Richard Sherman. The entire series is up and streaming, DHI Podcast Episodes 025 to 027 (roughly 100 minutes in all). Links are below:

This comment has nothing to do with It’s A Small World. I’m actually trying to get in touch with Todd James Pierce. If this is you I checked on Facebook and the only person with your name I could find was a novelist and short story writer. Is that you? On Facebook I am registered as Paul Day Clemens — the only one on FB — and I am the owner of the now-famous only photo of The Hatbox Ghost in situ when the Haunted Mansion first opened. (The color flash pic was taken by one of my sisters.) So, have we already communicated with each other at some point, because I noticed the name “Paul” appearing a couple times on the page where you shared your home movie of the Mansion and the HBG. Is than Paul actually referring to me? Anyway, would love to chat if you would let me know how to reach you.
Really, really love the site and have been binging the podcast, and I’m sure you’ve heard this already, but Inhabe to tell you: New York is NOT part of New England! They’re separate places. Boston is the city hub of New England. New York is New York. It’s killing me. Other than that, great job and keep up the good work.
You should interview Frank Stanek who ran the Pepsi Pavilion at the Worlds Fair.
