Sorry I have been away from posting for quite some time, I was gone most of the month of May to do various presentations on Walt Disney. I have quite a bit planned to write about here at the Institute, so to hold you over, I present this wonderful image of Main Street construction (in exquisite detail, click on for more detailed view, and zoom in, I scanned it at very high resolution, so you can almost see the nuts and bolts!). Enjoy.

What a great construction photo of a building whose exterior has changed very little through the years. Looking over above the Fire Station, I can almost imagine Walt’s impatience to have the apartment finished so he could spend more time at The Site.
Great comment, thank you. I almost wondered that myself; curious if Walt may have pushed the construction on the apartment early on, so as to have a place to stay as soon as possible. Thank you.
